And so we watch in silent admiration as a subtle and delicately contrasted paint job is flawlessly applied by a skilled operative with flair and artistry despite his having been sadly deprived of the gift of sight since birth. And as the minutes tick by, the bystanders' sympathy for his handicap quickly turns to an overwhelming sense of envy and an existential longing to possess a similar inbuilt immunity to visual trauma.
Man, it just tears your heart out. (Doesn't do the retinas a lot of good either).
But I have the impression that David H. is a kindly soul and I'm sure he has something much more delicate in mind. We just need to be on the alert, that's all I'm saying.
