Your two-tone green is a beautiful combination and a stunning moulding - a really nice piece all round. Another company that did white metal British cars was Milestone Miniatures who did some nice Vauxhall models including the famous 1904. They did a range called Gems And Cobwebs including some nice early Austin Swallows, and Avenue 43, which included some interesting American cars.
@david-green That's a lovely car in rose & grey. Also one can appreciate the smooth line of the windscreen and roofline, in your picture. Very clean!
In a book I have on Harley Earl, one former member of design/ technology at Vauxhall talks specifically about this model, the wrap-around windscreen, and directives coming straight from the Warren Technical Center and said of Earl "We hated his guts!"
@graeme-ogg Graeme, your 'fictitious' Cresta pick-up reminds me of a very nice 'fictitious' Gaz Chaika pick-up in the same shades of sky blue and white, which I bought from a guy in Georgia (Caucasus). I have the intention of fashioning a Sputnik out of a rubber ball, rods and what have you, for the cargo bay. Sadly the model is not with me to photograph.
