I was inspired by Mike's diorama to post my A & W diorama I made and posted about 2 1/2 years ago. Had a lot of fun making it. It showcases some great 1/43 cars and evokes some great memories.

Excellent. Reminds me of time I spent working at an A&W like that, car hops and all. I worked there for several summers during high school and college. It was in Indian River, MI. Long gone now.

I'll bet those were some memory packed days John. I had some good/fun jobs while I was in high school and college also.

Hard to explain this, but your diorama has all the energy of the real place. Nicely done!

Very nice.  It brings back memories of the A&W in my hometown in the 60s.  Root beer floats, mmmmmm .

Any details on the black hot rod roadster with the "Moon Equipped" decals would be greatly appreciated! Terrific diorama.

Ted, the basics of this model of this  '32 roadster is a 1/43 Testors kit that I modified quite a bit. The engine block and intake manifold (modified) is from a '40 Ford coupe by Team Caliber and the  carbs and headers are Motor City parts. The grill is Motor City with grill shell being from the Testors kit to fit the grill. The dash and steering wheel is from the '40 Ford woodie by Minichamps. Tailights from Motor City as well as the (modified) windshield frame. Wheels are Motor City and hubcaps are from a Road Signatures '48 Ford woodie. The headlights are from the 1/43 '36 Ford coupe kit of AMT and the Moon Equipped decals are from an old 1/25 AMT kit.  I guess I had a few parts laying around and nothing better to do! Hope this answers your questions.

Wow - not only is it an excellent rendition of a hot rod, you basically cobbled together a ton of parts as guys "in the day" would have for a 1:1 version! Really outstanding - thanks!
