The 1970 Cadillac Superior hearse represented the final years of the truly grand American professional car: long, formal, and unmistakably Cadillac. Built on Cadillac’s commercial chassis and bodied by Superior Coach, these cars combined Fleetwood-level presence with the specialized craftsmanship required for funeral service. With their massive proportions, dignified roofline, landau styling, and Cadillac’s big 472-cid V8 power, the 1970 Superior had the kind of solemn elegance that made it both a working vehicle and a rolling piece of coachbuilt history.
Collectors will soon have another way to appreciate this distinctive professional car, as Matrix is preparing to release the 1970 Cadillac Superior hearse. It joins another recently announced professional-car subject from Matrix, the 1951 Cadillac Superior S & S Florentine Flower Car, making this an especially strong moment for collectors of funeral-service Cadillacs. Matrix has already visited the 1970 Cadillac Superior in ambulance guise, offering the resin casting in several color schemes, so the hearse version feels like a natural and welcome companion piece in white.
Unusual in white and unusually good looking!
That is a neat looking model.😎

@chris I've asked to be cremated, and I have been warned this may well be my final means of transport to the other side...
Yep. We could nix the tailpipe too. It seem like an extended tailpipe is on every new model. I remove them forthwith.
