These replicas look fantastic ! Great subject matter and definitely, being so rare, they must be very expensive and uncommon to see in person.
Would be nice to see photos of the real model. I assume that some members of the forum have this piece in collection.
By the way SAMS made many other interesting models of the American cars.
Nice ! I think it is a beautiful car and model of it. I have several examples of this Oldsmobile in 1/18 scale and it is an all-time favorite.
I have the model in metallic Green with a white top and it is magnificent.
@chazy-r Very nice models. Never saw any of them.

Just to add to the story, here is my specimen in a rather pretty lilac colour with black roof.
p.s. The S.A.M.S. Latin motto means "Small is beautiful". How true.

Yes, Graham it is very beautiful! Congratulations
@graeme-ogg Do you know any information about Richard? As far as I know during 2000s he concentrated on microcars but now his main business is LRC company. He also wrote autobiorgaphy book. Have you read it?
@fred-eliseeff Sorry, I don't know anything about Mr Hutchins, and I don't know anything about SAMS models either. In fact, I thought my Olds was made by SMTS until I checked the baseplate again to make sure! Easy mistake to make since the two outfits have done such similar 1:43 white metal products.

I suspect that initial brass pattern was cteated by Martin Field. After SAMS had produced 300 units it was sold to Motor City USA and reworked by Pete Kenna.
@graeme-ogg I read some your articles in Model Auto Review by Rod Ward. Seems that you have deep knoweledge about modeld. How can I connect with you?
