Do you mean make of paint or colour?

Most aerosols meant for full size cars are fine. Grey is thinner and doesn't hide fine detail. White is thicker and more difficult to apply. In general I use grey unless the top coat is especially light such as yellow - one of the most difficult colours to apply (along with black) in which case I use white. Hope this helps.

A method, not a brand

Hi Sergio- The best way I have found is to first find the paint, usually at an automotive parts store, and then buy the same brand's primer. I learned the hard way that all paints and primers are not compatible. Brands? Other than avoiding the popular discount store sprays, I have generally good luck with automotive paints.

I'm looking forward to John Roberts' advice here.

Oops! John posted while I was writing. I'm with him on using the gray primer most of the time.
