Hi All,
My Brooklin Collectors Club 1965 Buick Riviera GS arrived today so I thought I would share.
Prior to this, the nicest Riviera in my collection was the 1963 issued by MiniMarque. It still stands up well by todays standards for its abundance of trim and scraped white metal details for the chrome. When compared to the Brooklin, the MiniMarque is a bit shorter.
Here is the actual car Brooklin modelled, a 1 of 1 painted in Samoan Bronze. Brooklin cheated a little by not replicating the unique rocker molding found on the GS trim.
Enjoy!

The 1:1 is not a GS. This was a clearly identified package back in 1965 and was far more than just a rocker trim molding.
Hemming's has a great article on this car. I used it as one of their resources to make the video for the BCC. The car was a pre-production sample, probably the very first GS, painted in a one-off color for a dealer in Niagara Falls. As such, some of the details may be missing but it is definitely a GS. Here's a picture of the trunk lid on the 1:1.
