It's been a very, very, very long time since I posted here. Lots has changed! Ha. Not sure if this is even a topic that has already been covered, so forgive me. I have a 1/43 white metal model that has very yellowed white walls. Is there a way to clean these short of just buying (if that even possible) a new set somewhere? Thanks guys. Good to see some of the old names here...Thanks in advance.
Welcome back!
I do NOT have a sure-fire fix; I can only suggest the obvious: "Bleach White," regular bleach, diluted pool chlorine, Fantastic, Murphey's Oil Soap.... Another fix (assuming your tires are NOT dry rotted) MIGHT be to paint them using a quality (Tamiya) acrylic flat white. Good luck!
Good to see you posting, Patty. Try Chris's suggestion. I've had some success using bleach on a Q-tip. Be careful with it, though, and use a sparing amount.

@jkuvakas Hi all, just tried Bleche White yesterday, did not work at all; 3 tires no change and the fourth looks worse. I just ordered flexible acrylic white paint by FX and will try to paint over the yellowed ones.I will let you know.
Also, another subject from recent past was yellowed resin head lights. The lights with bezels must be removed from the car. I used acetone and after soaking a while the old resin came loose now ready for a new application
Hi Patty, that's a good question and I have had that problem, too, so the answers will be informative !
Nice to see your post Patty I was thinking about you the other day when I came acroos a couple of models I had acquired from you years ago. I hope you are well.
