@chris What a wonderful post. These were truly golden days that have left us all with a legacy to aspire to. It's refreshing to see such authority and humility in one man.
@john-sharisky Thank-you John, you are absolutely spot-on! I am thinking of the Bruce Arnold Eldorado. However, I don't believe he formed his own models, but rather enhanced existing models from more mainstream manufacturers to create his superb renditions, as seen in you photographs. It is the manufacturer of the base model we see in your Bruce Arnold examples that I am searching for.
BAM made a '53 Eldorado. Click here.
Thank-you John for this link. you have provided the last clue in my quest, as it would seem from Hobby Database's "related subjects" that it is Motor City who produced the base model. I shall now search for someone who produces or deals in spare parts for Motor City
It's difficult enough finding their models let alone parts.
Did you see these by Bruce Arnold, perhaps based on a Motor City?

( https://www.hobbydb.com/marketplaces/hobbydb/catalog_items?filters [type_id]=3&variant_definition_id=90092&prod_status=Variant&cid=832959 )Those are the only 53s in hobbyDB, besides the Vitesse...
Thank-you Karl, this is a great help. I do believe the base model I am after was made by Motor City. Perhaps you, with all your modelling connections, may have a contact mail for Motor City, because the next stage of my quest is to get a windscreen surround for this model ? I don't rate my chances highly.
@charles-rockett, Motor City is out of business. Gregg Gunn (marvamin@aol.com) has what was left of their parts.

John, I cannot thank you enough. I shall write ASAP.
Hi Charles,
Have you seen BAM Bruce Arnold 53 El Dorado. I have 2 of them red and yellow.
@chris You are correct. There is no other 53 Eldorado than the big scale 1/18. to be some kind of accurate. and this is very questionable. I displayed it for many years on a premium shelve 20 years ago with the 1930 Cord in same scale. The DM 1/24 Eldorado was horrible and real garbage.
@chazy-r These are very nice model indeed, thank you for sharing them on this post. I might be able to secure one of these but it's broken and hence this thread. Your pictures will inspire me to get it !

Actually, the DM 1953 Eldorado is 1/16 scale. It's crude by today's standards, but it beats Autoworld's (...formerly Ertl, formerly Anson ) 1/18 scale... that's slightly under-scaled and has a sealed trunk. I agree that the DM 1/24 '53 Eldo was trash.
@charles-rockett Hello Charles, my email is rosechuck39@gmail.com send me a message about the Eldo
