From My Collection... 1958 Cadillac

The 1958 Cadillac has always been a favorite - that outrageous style and all that chrome make for a very appealing car and even more so as a model. When I started collecting this scale, I was disappointed that very few (I couldn't actually find any at the time) were available. Then in 2017 GLM issued one of the 1st, it was an Eldorado Biarritz in green with a top or without. I bought the open version. The model always looked a little off, but overall, it wasn't bad and was a real treat to have my 1st '58 Caddy.

GLM followed up the Biarritz with a Fleetwood Sixty Special Sedan, it was available in 3-colors, Black and Turquoise Blue and Coral/White. Now this was a 1958 Cadillac, all the chrome all the glitz and class were here in this gem. Four more colors of this model were issued by Stamp in 2026. They all found a home with me, no photos yet. Yes, you guessed it, I have seven of these.

Shortly after that, they followed up the Sixty Special with a Fleetwood Series 75 Limousine. I don't recall the colors offered, probably black and the white I did buy, later in 2021 a special color in Desert Gold was offered, I bought it as well.

Sorry the photos of these two aren't great, but it seems they are the only ones I've taken. It was during these years that I was becoming more aware of higher end white metal models. With several already in my collection, I started looking at others, this Fleetwood Series 75 Limo came from Route 66 Models and is by Conquest Models, these seem the only photos of this one as well.

It was also this time in 2020 that I came across this unusual model by JPS Miniatures Auto. While interesting, the color is definitely not a factory choice. But it's an Eldorado Seville, so...

The releases by Stamp were a step above the models previously issued by GLM, 1st came the Series Convertible in a couple of colors, I have a couple of the red ones, open & closed and a green in a closed version. Just recently a very Limited Edition in white was offered, one did find a home with me. I took photos of the red & green but never processed most of them for posting. I do have one set of the red closed version and the green closed sharing the stage w/2 other '58s. 

In 2022, Stamp issued the Series 62 Coupe de Ville in 3-colors, and later in 2025 with 2 others. All very special.

The Eldorado Biarritz was updated in 2024 by Stamp with the release of the "Raindrop" Concept cars - WOW! these are very nice. 

More tomorrow of the Series 62 Coupe de Ville, the newest release in blue w/a white top is really great.
