This is a very special model. I ran across this one very recently and it just arrived a week ago. The model was redone by John White. This is the 1st of two John White models I've added in the last two weeks.
The model is done in fantastic colors that really suits the body design. I have always liked these Hudson's in 1:1 form. It may be a Nash underneath, but it was still a very attractive car, which continued to be until its end in 1957.

A real beauty and especially so with their V-8 engine ! It looks excellent in 1:1 and 1:43 form and that color scheme is quite appropriate for a Hudson Hornet. (but it would also work fine for a Hudson Wasp !)
Very nice model. Congratulations on your purchase.

Congrats John, you got yourself a BEAUTY there!
I have the Coral color '55 Hornet and display it next to the Bronze '54 4-door. The styling differences only one model year apart makes for a great comparison.

That is one beautiful Hudson, John. You were fortunate to have found it. As one who has been a collector of Brooklins since 1981 I miss the introductions of new models that were affordable and could be ordered from the dealer of your choice. Then if you wanted a detailed car in a particular color John Roberts or John White or Fred Lewis could perform their magic thus creating a beautiful variation such as your black and yellow Hudson. Yes, I know times change. Economics become a factor. Companies change, are bought out, merge and some disappear altogether. I miss the Brooklin we once knew, yet I find pleasure in my collection and finding NOS models I’d somehow missed. Thanks for posting pictures of that Hudson, John

Congratulations on your find John. That model is fantastic in those colors
And these 1955 Hudsons came with the Twin H power 308 cubic inch side valve sixes, one of the largest six cylinder engines. Optional was a Packard built 320 cubic inch overhead valve V8.

Indeed a great model John! Love the color combo on it and the fact that it is a 4-door. Certainly growing up as a kid, we saw more 4-door cars than the more expensive 2-door hardtops and convertibles. So seeing a model like this is really reflecting on a historical time.
