Amazingly well done models for the price!
All 3 cars were beautiful as 1:1s and represented a market segment that would soon disappear as the "personal luxury" cars would take over.
If forced to choose, it would be Chrysler, Buick, Mercury for me.

I got my driving license on the family 1967 Buick Wildcat Coupe. This was a big car that was certainly not sport at all but very attractive for the time.

-Agreed!
That Merc looks great but a bit stubby compared to the other two..... Was it really that much shorter? Being a "full-size" Mercury, I had never realized this.
All of those 1/43 models and real cars look excellent ! I would be delighted with any of those beautiful full-size rocket ships. I do happily have the 1/43 1969 Mercury Marauder in a solid maroon color in the Ford 100 Year Anniversary series and in a clear plastic display case.

Sharp eye there, Chris! The '67 Wildcat was built on the Electra chassis with a 126-inch wheelbase. The '70 300 shared its 124-inch wheelbase with the rest of the Chrysler lineup. The '69 Marauder's 121-inch wheelbase (same as Ford) was 3 inches shorter than the other full-size Mercury models.

@moe-parr How come I didn't know this? 🤔 🤨 😬 Â
I would've bet $20 that the "fuselage Chrysler" had the longest wb, followed by the Merc, then the Buick. Thanks Barry, these facts surprise me.
I always found the '65 - '68 Wildcat very interesting because it combined LeSabre sheet metal from the cowl back with the Electra front clip. The additional 3 inches of wheelbase ended up between the front door and the front wheel well. The resulting longer front fenders and hood really worked for the Wildcat, giving it those sleek proportions!
