I'm sure you're aware that the '57 Oldsmobile is the one car I like more than any other 50's car. Your video is great! OH how I wish these were available in 1:24 scale. Thanks for sharing!

Great video of a great looking car, 1/43 and 1:1.

@georgeschire, thanks. I never realized how many references to jets and rockets this design held until I started digging into it.

Absolutely beautiful models John. I had my WCPD model in 1/24 pre-ordered. It broke my heart when they got canceled. 😥
@geno, that would have been a spectacular model!

Actually neither did I, but I do remember that Oldsmobile ads in the 50's were often referring to rockets. I recall one that told us to, "Put a A Rocket in Your Pocket with a New Rocket 88 Olds".

I'm with you on this one. I too, had my pre-order in for the WCPD '57 Oldsmobile. In fact, I personally talked with Brian on the phone one night for over an hour about this very car. What a super guy he is and so interesting to chat with. I'd put my order in for ONE model of each color he would produce of the '57 Olds. I've forever been disappointed that we didn't see these models become reality.

What a beautiful 1/43 Oldsmobile 88 from Goldvarg ! It is a truly gorgeous model from them and the colors and options are excellent. Presently, I have several '57 Olds replicas in 1/18 scale and would be also happy to have this one in other scales, too.
I chose the yellow/white one because I'm not a connie fan; it's a great looking model!
I have always been a fan of the 57 Olds because of it's well balanced styling cues and I have several models of this year's offerings. My models include 1.18 scale, 1/43 scale including these two plus Sergios white metal version and the Brooklin versions and even a 1/87 scale convertible. To this day I still have trouble understanding what happened to the 58?
@georgeschire When did WCPD stop making models?

I had six of the 1957 Oldsmobile's on order with Brian. Great guy and I enjoyed the many, many long phone conversations we shared.
