This model is based on a recreation of an actual CFD battalion chief's car circa 1970. It is quite accurate, based on online pictures of the actual car, with three exceptions. The first is the front inboard headlights. The actual car has a red lens on the drivers side and a green lens on the right side. The second is omission of the spotlight on the passenger side.

The third issue concerns the license. The yellow plate number is numerically correct, but it's from Massachusetts. This may be correct - I cannot read the state in the online pics and perhaps the car is registered there. After all, CFD fans are all over the country.

But my question is: when did Mass. become the Grand Canyon State? Did they move the canyon to the Northeast? Or did Arizona get annexed by Massachusetts? Maybe Sergio meant to issue this one on April 1. LoL Smile

Nice model but strange about that licence plate. Sergio may have missed that detail when checking his prototypes.

I found another picture - should have been an Illinois plate after all (zoom in).

Well, I don't know about Massachusetts but I see there is a "Little Grand Canyon" in Illinois, so that's maybe where the confusion arose.
