Yes, Indeed. Kelly and I are in Philadelphia for the weekend. The heat has been suffocating, but it doesn't seem to have dampened the spirits of the crowds who ahve come here to the 250th and the World Cup.
I was honored to do the invocation and benediction for a ceremony commemorating the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence in Independence Square on July 2, 1776. The Declaration was finalized and ratified on July 4, 1776.

A Happy 250th Birthday to you all. May you prosper and celebrate again in another 250.
I love your outfit, John. Fitting but rather hot for the conditions.
You look surprisingly well preserved for 250 years. But personally I like you here in 2026 a lot better. Have fun and stay safe and we'll see you back home here in THIS century soon!
You're a gentleman and a scholar, John! Triple crown: you support your church, your community and your hobby - among many others, I'm sure!
John could it be you were selected because you look period correct? Just joking, you don't look a day over 120.:)You look surprisingly well preserved for 250 years. But personally I like you here in 2026 a lot better. Have fun and stay safe and we'll see you back home here in THIS century soon!
