It's 1959 and you're in the market for a new convertible.

The Ford retractable without any hesitation (but I understand that the mechanism was somewhat troublesome).  However, in reality the closest I ever got to this pair was a '60 Chevy, and it was a sedan and just a step above the base model. 

In this case I'll go sure for the Dodge

Both those cars were full of pizzazz.  You couldn't go wrong.  Girl magnets (if they had good sense.)

If it was 1959 I would pick the Ford Galaxie regular convertible (not the retractable).  Pontiac would be a very, very close second.

For this particular year, give me the Dodge. I do however like both.
