1958 was a one year only body style for Chevrolet. For a long time it was pretty much forgotten by Chevy enthusiasts. It followed the popular Tri-five series of ‘55-57 models. But in recent years the ‘58 ‘s have become highly collectible. I love the ‘58’s as these pictures show. Brooklin first did the Impala hardtop and later the Yeoman wagon.
(note the actual car shown is the Brookwood trim level, one up from the base Yeoman that Brooklin did. Detailed two-tone Impala was done by John Roberts and detailed two-tone Yeoman was done by John White)

I too love the '58 Chevy, especially the Impala hardtop coupe. That's a car that looks much more expensive than it was!

I have always loved the 1958 Chevrolet, partly because my Dad had one and it was our family car. LOL, here I am in '58 sitting at my Dad's desk at 3 Dimensions in Chicago when he took me for a visit and there is my 1958 Chevy 1/25 promo ! I only have a 1/18 diecast of it now, but would like to also get one (or more) in 1/43, too.
And speaking of 1958 Chevys there is a Biscayne four door sedan in two tone coming from Trax in Australia. But as with Trax not actively marketed in the USA and often sold out shortly after launch. I'll post a pic of mine when it arrives some time in the next few months.

And here is what we are missing as it is already did out! The description says the Biscayne was the base model. For 1958 it was the middle range. It became the base model for ‘59.

I have several models of the 58 Impala in all scales. Several years ago I sold my 1/1 and have had regrets since although I know I can't keep them all. My 1/1 was all white with the tri tone interior and turquoise dash and door panels and rear shelf. The car had the 348 engine with a four barrel carb, continental Kit, skirts, dual antennas, spinner wheel covers power steering and power glide transmission.
Great picture, Mike, sitting at your desk with that Impala model at your side.
Thanks, David. Wish I still had that promo !
It's good to see that's Frank's family thought the '58 Chevy was the car to have, too. And in a recession year for automobiles, the Reed and the DeTorrice families did what they could to help Chevy !
@mikedetorrice, Indeed. A wonderful photo, Mike. Which must remind you of good memories and make me realize that time flies too fast.
David, the Yeoman done by J.W. is a beauty and also my favorite.
