Limited Edition 1968 Chrysler 300s from GLM - Update

Many of you have been inquiring about the status of the limited edition GLM 1968 Chrysler 300s in black and burgundy. The only update I can provide is that there is no update yet.As you are probably aware, the uncertainty surrounding the ever-changing tariff situation has completely hosed the plan that GLM and I agreed to well over a year ago regarding having these two colors be exclusive to TOYCARGEEK.It pains me to no end that I am forced to back out of an agreement with anyone, but there is no other option. I could not have foreseen the magnitude of this problem when we started this project way back in early 2024.The tariffs (at today's 30% rate) will increase my upfront costs by thousands of dollars, which is unfeasible. The higher sales price needed to recoup my investment will undoubtedly mean slower sales, and that will mean a slower return on my investment. That is a big hit for a small company. Even though the response to these two colors has been overwhelmingly positive, I simply cannot risk having a bunch of expensive leftovers if the higher price deters a large number of buyers.The tariffs have already taken a huge bite out of my sales this year, so it would be foolhardy for me to take that kind of risk. While I would love for these to be TOYCARGEEK exclusives, I told GLM that I will gladly forego that exclusivity to get these released to collectors. They will still be limited edition models, even if they are sold by a number of different dealers.It is also possible that GLM could offer these as an exclusive to another dealer to sell the whole lot at once. While that would certainly be disappointing to me, I will understand 100% if GLM decides to take this route. They have invested a ton of time and money into this project, and they need to get a return on their investment too.I will continue to work with GLM to figure out how to get these released for sale to collectors as soon as possible, and will update everyone as soon as this is resolved. They have their hands full right now with other projects, so we'll have to be patient. The tariffs are wreaking havoc with their business too, so as collectors we need to be understanding and supportive. These are beautifully crafted models, and I promise they will be worth waiting for!

@jcarnutz The Canadian guy sells at full retail price. How much tariff do you have to pay to have his models at your door step with shipping cost at a premium?

I have no interest in this Chrysler but I will continue to support only US dealers who will still buy inventory to supply their customers with new models.

@jcarnutz John I know color is a personal preference but if you had to choose one between the blue and the green, which would it be?

For me, the maroon was an easy favorite. I do have a preference for one of the "standard" colors over the other, but I'm curious as to your opinion as you have them in hand.

Well green is my favorite color, but for these two, I prefer the blue.
