Thanks! I do like the color, but my recollection of the 1:1 is a paler shade of yellow:

LOL! Well that is a line in the song! Actually I SAVED all my money and in 1964 bought a brand new GTO. Silver Blue. Loved that machine!  Cool

Wow! You must have been quite young then to have purchased such an impressive car brand-new! I don't recall seeing pictures so please post if you have them!

And did you take it out to Pomona?

I was almost 18 when I bought it - yes, VERY young. I drag raced it a couple times but not at Pomona. About a year after I bought it, I had a 421 dropped in it with two quads and added a period bubble scoop. A drunk in a Pontiac station wagon totaled it! Scared

@perrone1 Very nice pictures.  These early '60s ice blue metallics looked great and have never been successfully replicated.  I reckon the drunk just didn't feel 'cool' in his wagon!
