Minimarque expert advice needed

Randy Rusk · 2022-02-23T00:18:59Z

I've recently been bitten by the Minimarque bug. I've been able to snag a few deals on these little jewels, but not without a few concessions at times. For example, I just picked up this Auburn 851/2 Phaeton (#002/250) for under $100. Not bad considering it originally sold for $275. But it came without its hood ornament and maybe a bent window. So here are my questions... Any idea where I could locate a suitable hood ornament replacement? It doesn't have to be a MM one but something that comes close. Is the window supposed to be folded forward? It sure looks like it was cast that way and it's not an uncommon feature for cars of that era, but the seller listed it as having a bent window. Thanks, Randy
