@frank 'built for comfort - not speed' - outrageous euphemism !  I wonder what the truckers out there would make of that ?

Clapton, a notable collector of Ferrari, recorded “Hideaway" for the John Mayall Blues Breakers with Eric Clapton album in 1966.  The version followed the original, but with a jazzier rhythm-section arrangement and more vamping by Clapton, including an Elmore James-style riff.

@frank Thanks, Frank, for this Freddy King track.  I'm no R & B aficionado as you are, but I like to think I've at least heard of most artists worth their salt.  But this is the first I've heard of Freddy King - and his sound is sizzling hot!

And this is a very nice Ferrari.  I don't know what else Best did, but I've seen a number of excellent Ferraris by them.

1963 Chrysler 300 J by 43rd. Avenue / Milestone Miniatures with "If I Didn't Have A Dime" sung by Gene Pitney on the radio. Both marking the shift into a cleaner, more crisp and youthful style. (doubtless, there'll be misgivings about the wide whitewalls - feel free to comment)

Speaking of a young, new, fresh sound in 1962 (UK), 1964 (USA)...

@jkuvakas You can't see that post that without thinking about a certain yellow sub.  Even if it did not come out from Corgi until '69... 🙄

@frank This is one of my favourite British cars - in exactly this colour scheme.  Very nice choice.

@karl I had this model, though I don't think I really understood who these guys were!  I wish I still had it! (There was a Popeye Mobile out at around the same time and they were often presented in shops together).
