The name Aston Martin DB2/4 stands for an evolution of the DB2 model expanded to a 2+2 seating configuration (two small rear seats alongside the front seats), with the "DB" initials honoring owner Sir David Brown, who bought the company in 1947.
- DB: Stands for David Brown, the wealthy industrialist who acquired Aston Martin and Lagonda in the late 1940s and initiated the famous DB bloodline of sports cars.
- 2: Denotes the DB2 lineage and the foundational 2-seater design that preceded it.
- /4: Signifies the upgrade to 4 seats (configured as a 2+2 layout) and a practical rear hatchback access for luggage

@karl For many years, it has been one of most reproduced models of the iconic car. There were diecasts from Vitesse and Oxford, white metal models from SMTS and AMR, resin cast cars from Provence Moulage, and later from Make Up (definitely the best of all), and most contemporary - from DMH (as the copy of Make Up model)/
I was pretty stupid to sell my Make Up model in Aston Green (just a got a serious offer, that couldn't resist)/
Fortunately, DMH has an unprecedented quality, so I'm pretty happy with it.
