PICS. A new model from Kess has arrived.
1958 Chrysler New Yorker Town & Country Wagon. Its available in two colour schemes; White over red and metallic brown over cream. Kess doesn't specify the actual colours. Maybe you folk t'other side the pond can advise. The model is quite nicely detailed with etched surrounds to front, rear and side screens, body trim, wipers,"New Yorker" script to front wing, and "Chrysler to bonnet and tailgate. It also has a very fine radio aerial. Headlights, side lights, and rear lights all have clear lens. Here's the PICS.

.
Hmm.
Doesn't look any better than last time I saw it. Too short and stumpy and probably too tall in proportion to length. The brightwork (or should I say the "dullwork") around the windows is pretty heavy-handed. Fins look to short and too blunt at the tips. Tyres way too fat for the wheels.
As somebody said in an earlier post, it looks like a "Tintin" version of the car!

Yes Graeme, I don't like any model from kess, too many mistakes
I think they did a pretty nice job with this one renato.

And their Alfa 2600 sedan is great, I think. But yes, they have made some errors, for example the color of their XK150 Ghia Aigle coupe is way too dark (met green vs.a light silvery green). But others have made mistakes too, including Neo, Spark, and Matrix.
I could live with it except for the overwide whites even though one of Graeme's photos shows one with oversize white as well.

I must admit, I wondered if the white walls were too big.
It's a shame they chose the same colors as NEO's '61 Chrysler Newports (sedan and wagon).

Tires are easily corrected.
Kess is hit-or-miss, like many. Their '63 Impala is a big 'hit' for me
