@mikedetorrice, yes! Oddly, some folks in the hobby describe scales other than they collect as "toys."
That's true, John. Sometimes it is used as a derisive term when it really shouldn't be and sometimes even collectors can be dismissive of any scale other than the one they might favor.
Even if someone is not a collector or hobbyist, initially toys/models are a wonderful way to develop, play in and manage one's own world. And gain a kind of respect and maybe understanding of God who operates in the actual real world and must interact and deal with people and life and the whole universe itself.
That's getting a bit dramatic and even over the top ! The real thing is all models and scales are enjoyable for someone and each has their supporters. They give all of us a sense of design and function and realization of how life in the 20th and 21st centuries has developed.
