[Closed] Poll: What automotive decades do you prefer in your collections?

1885 to the present, though I do have the Brumm 1769 Cugnot.

I am a bit envious of those who can focus on one era, one car make, one model manufacturer, etc. But if I did focus on one era it would be post-WW2 to the beginning of the big bumper era (around 1973).

Still, I just got a Kyosho Lamborghini Veneno roadster in Rosso Veneno (met. red). Definitely not a 2000s era blob!

Mark, what a wonderful question. I collect mostly 1920-1963 which is a pretty broad range but

I actually have a 1974 Chrysler dealership with several early '70's Mopar models and even a Ford or two.

Funnily, I have nothing between 1920 and 1928! But I am hopeful!! Kess is supposed to bring out a 1919-22 Pierce sedan.

I tend to break my collection into periods and may display more than one brand on a shelf for that period. Because I create cityscapes and car dealerships for my cars my focus is quite narrow per shelf.

Even though I grew up in the mid-'50's to '70's and have bought the majority of my actual cars since 1973, I have no particular affinity for this latter time period besides those Mopars which I display in my "Dino Sauer" dealer.

I would however welcome cars from 1922-28, 1950-54 and 1964-70 because I think these periods may be under-represented.

John, well said. My kids don't care about cars nor computers (which likely makes them outliers). But, I look at the bright side - they've escaped years of trading one car for the next and one device for the next and will save thousands of dollars in the process. And while I'm still around, they get my old discarded cars for their personal transportation.

Japanese invasion? Let's see....Toyota Supra......Nissan Z car....I loved my '80 Accord, what else? Post 90's are....Acura NSX....Nissan GT-R....Honda S2000.

Top end of the abbreviated '51 Frazer line. This was the last of the original

K-F bodies, and only a few thousand were made. Most were 4-door sedans, but a few were modified into 4-door hardtops and convertibles, as well as the rear-opening sedans. Production stopped when all the remaining bodies were used up, leaving several thousand orders unfilled.

In the world of "what if," these modifications a year earlier might have rescued K-F from the doldrums of 1950, a blead year of sales from which Kaiser never recovered.

+4 Have quite a few die-casts (pre-1970) as well that I enjoy.....

......but for white-metal (the vast majority of my purchases today), I prefer the 60s decade (like you, Mark), followed by the 50s.
