Question for our omniscient Moderator regarding Profile Picture

@jkuvakas JK, changing the avatar DOES NOT work, people are complaining reasonably, it works the first time, and then the first image cannot be replaced with an alternative one. At least it does not work immediately. I was able to replace the image twice but there was 2-3 weeks delay between the time I uploaded the image and the change occur. Now I would not touch it to test it because I am not sure what will happen. 

Kind of odd that some people have been able to change it immediately and not others.

Reminds me of when we switched over to the new system and some people had their registration and "history" carried over effortlessly, but not others. It seems the system just doen't love some of us as much.

Is it based on nationality? Location? Age? Previous star rating? Has it been checking out my profiles on ladies lingerie websites? (My left profile is best, by the way). Or maybe just a random glitch in the algorithm. I mean, there's always an algorithm in there somewhere, right?

Ah, that explains your previous post, but creates a new mystery, because my screen doesn't show that top bar at all. 

 

John's the Admin so he has special buttons just for him!  I don't see them either, so Graeme, don't feel left out! [using extra large text, just in case...] 🙄 

You all are right.  I tried to change the photo, it shows the new filename in the profile, but the old photo is still there. Broken or just very slow?  I don't want to be an old Bug forever! 😮

@graeme-ogg, Well, this is a mystery to me as well. I might have some additional functionality because I signed up for Word Press when I registered.

Chav brings up an interesting point. I wonder if there is some inordinate delay in posting the new image? That would be most unusual. 

I'm going to try to change mine and see what happens. 

OK, so mine worked without a hitch. But, I just tried to change it back and it got hung up. I'll try again in a bit.
