Yesterday, I heard that Mike Stephens, one of the founders of Western Models and a white metal pioneer, passed away. He leaves quite a legacy and will be deeply missed.

Sad news indeed, my condolences to his family & friends.   It's a loss for the hobby - Mike will be missed.   😔 😔

On two of my trips to the UK, in the 1980-90s I visited Western Models in Taunton, and Mike would sell me kits to take home and build.  While I was there I got a full tour of his facility and met the staff some of which were his family.   Sad to hear of his passing.

R.I.P. I have many of his models to remember him by including one from Buz which has yet to arrive.
