In the past few years I haven't even bothered trying to keep up with models of current Jaguars, but there is one of these I-Pace all-electric SUVs living near me and I kept looking at it and thinking it was quite sexy looking with the rising rear quarters which are vaguely suggestive of the Coke-bottle hips of older Jags.
There is a 1:43 model of it which only seems to be available from a few big Jaguar dealers in the UK, all offering it at £50, take it or leave it. So I took it (at least the postage was free).
I was worried that the paintwork looked a little thick in the website photos but it turns out to be pretty good. The model is actually done for Jaguar by TrueScale so it ought to be a decent model. And the colour is actually correct but my pics were taken on a very overcast day and even with a little tinkering in the photo editor I couldn't quite get rid of a slightly blue-ish tinge which isn't really there.
The front three-quarter view of the car is the most flattering. From side-on it looks just a little heavy and not quite as swoopy. but then it is an SUV, not a sports car.
Jaguar also do a couple of slightly smaller SUVs, the E-Pace and the F-Pace, but they look kind of short and fat and stumpy-tailed by comparison so I'm not looking for any models of those. But this one is quite pretty.

Thanks for both the pictures and the good comments, Graeme. I haven't had contact with a Jaguar (except for a few models) since my Mark 2 of the early 1960's. It had the Lucas (prince of darkness) electrical system and the first disc brakes I had ever experienced. Good memories! Somehow today's emphasis on the SUVs just doesn't appeal to me, and my present brand of choice, Lincoln, it seems doesn't make anything else. Oh well, my driving days are becoming shorter and shorter. Again, thanks.
I like this design as well, Graeme. In person, it is stunning.

As a Jaguar model collector, I have not seen this one. Thanks Graeme, I'll have to start hunting. No sign of it at our Toronto, Canada dealerships so far.
It is quite sexy looking for an SUV.
Good luck with that, David.
I had another look online and it still only seems to be available from a few UK Jaguar outlets.
They do seem to offer to ship overseas and I know that at least one of our Forum members (John Quilter) got one from the UK.
Jaguar UK are offering this model and if you look at their "delivery and returns" they offer shipping to the US but their apparent quote of $9.95 for "overnight" delivery seems hard to believe (to put it mildly!) But you might want to ask them about it.
Jaguar | I-PACE 1:43 Scale Model
For anyone who likes the look of this Jag but isn't willing to pay that much for it, Oxford Diecast do quite a neat little 1:76 model for £7.95. Shipping to the US costs as much again. Of course it isn't a match for the TrueScale 1:43, but it would fill a gap if all else fails.

I got mine with the help of a friend in the UK. Mine came from a UK dealer and is corris grey. But it now appears from the Jaguar USA accessory site, collectibles, both a red and corris gray versions are shown but the red version is "out of stock" . Prices from $60 to $63. Both the E Pace (red) and F Pace (white) are shown at similar prices but again "out of stock".
