While doing some research before committing to buy that Kinsmart '67 Impala which I didn't realise I already owned (as reported earlier), I found various suggestions that although Kinsmart use the convenient "1:43" label, their models are maybe more like 1:38, which is why I asked here for comments about whether it would sit OK amongst 1:43 models or would look ungainly.
Well, my cream one arrived today and I measured its length as 126.5 mm. The real car is 213 inches long. That's 5415 mm. Divide by 126.5. Answer: 1/43.8.
I then measured the length of the Truescale 2-door: Identical at 126.5 mm!
The main visible difference is the height, probably because the Kinsmart sits a little high on slightly oversize tyres, but when placed side by side, from most angles they sit comfortably enough together, as you can see below.
Of course, those of you who only deal in high-end replicas might snort at this "half-model, half-toy", but I don't think it is disgraced alongside the TSM.
Oh, and by the way, if your inner child does want to play with it, the pull-back motor is terrific. One 12-inch pull-back and it zooms 30 feet along my kitchen floor. Unfortunately the front axle tracking seems to be a bit off and it pulls gently to the left. Maybe adjusting the tyre pressures would help.
p.s. Just got a tracking message from the seller of the blue one I also ordered. It suggests I will be receiving an unexpected bonus. I am REALLY looking forward to this one.

I hear that adjusting tyre pressure can solve a multitude of issues. For example, a friend sold a vehicle sans power steering by inflating the front tyres just a wee bit extra.
These look great ! I have one of the Kinsmart 4-door Impalas in blue and it is really nice and certainly so at such a low retail price.
