The latest issue of Hemmings Classic Car just arrived, and it's a great issue. It's all GM this time, celebrating GM's 100 years of history.
There is an article on a to-die-for '58 Impala Sport Coupe, articles on GM
period ads and the Motoramas, a '52-'54 Pontiac buyers guide, and a lot
more.
And, as a bonus, Brooklin's '56 Pontiac sedan gets a review on the Small Cars
page and a very positive review it is, too.
This is a good issue of the magazine, highly recommended (and mandatory
for those of us who are 1950s GM fans!). Love that Impala! In early 1958,
our neighbor came home one day with a brand-new '58 Impala hardtop
in white over Sierra Gold. I thought it was the most beautiful car I'd
ever seen, and every other car on the street just faded away. I'll never forget
it. The neighbor was a jerk and always yelled at us if we got to close to it, but
we loved the car anyway, if not him!

I agree, but . . .
the article I like best was the one on the REO Royale!
Speaking of GM.
If you go to ebay motors and click on the catagory other makes you will find 1 of GMS Motorama Buses for sale on auction. I saw it yesterday and it was a little over a million dollars thus far. Very cool, you might want to check it out. I do not remember how many days where left but I think there is still time to see it. Oh AND RESERVE HAD NOT BEEN MET YET SO YOU STILL HAVE TIME TO BID. Take Care, RANDY B.
That's a lot for a 1:43 Randy!!!
John Roberts / Thats alot.
You are right John it is alot for a 1:43. It is alot for a 1:1 as well, at least for me. But Dominion has a very cool 1:64 model from Norev for about $45.00 and that is more my speed. Take Care, RANDY B. PS. It would be very cool though to have one of those buses for a motorhome.
I have the Norev Futurliner "Parade of Progress" bus. It's a terrific unit, and...
it's price is more palatable than the 1:1!

What scale?
OTTO it is 1:64 scale.
