The Audi 80 and VW Passat were clones.

Nice Schucos, Harv. Those were excellent models for their era—the ‘70’s—yet they are perhaps a bit crude by today’s standards. I have several Schuco Mercedes sedans and VW Passats. My Passat sedan like your green one, is Clementine. In their day they were built in Germany and were among the best in 1:43. My first Schuco, a yellow Audi 80 like your orange one, now long gone, cost $4.00 as I remember. Here’s my Schuco Passat wagon.

A '76 Scirocco was one of the best used cars  I've ever bought.

I followed it up with a brand new right off the showroom floor 78 Scirocco. The best new car I've ever bought.

@100ford2003 I bought a new GTI in 1983. Not sure if it was the best new car, but in the top 3.
