Which magazine do you prefer?

Collectible Automobile is the only one I've kept, and now the issues are taking over our condo like a pernicious weed. I love them, but I'm not revisiting them, so unfortunately they have to go.

Sometimes we think that magazines are useless and keep too much place. But from another side this is excellent source of information especially when websites close or restrict exits.

Would be nice to see several pages of this magazine to understand its structure.

Sure. I think you can get a sense of it from collectibleautomobile.com too. I've got a crazy day going, so maybe tomorrow.

Edit: the website is a great place to look. It really is a great magazine; scholarly, no ads. I'm noticing lots on eBay, that may be a solution for me.

I'd like to return to the topics of msgazines because it's very important in our time when websites are closing and information disappear.

Of course there were not only 3 magazines. Other countries also were publishing interesting issues. For example there were Argus Minuature from France, Modell Farzoig from Germany, Miniato & Collectors and Quattroroutine from Italy, Automodelisme and Garage on the table in Russia etc. If anybody wants to add information about model magazines please do it.

A short- lived magazine Garage on the table was being published since 2010 till 2013 in St Petersburg. Only 13 issues have been ever printed. Fortunately, I have all of them.

This is a hardcover of the first issue. Here you can see ZIS- 150 PM8 by DiP- a special truck for washing the streets, LSR Steam Car " Inspiration" by Spark and different models from many manufacturers. If anybody wants we can discuss a content of this issue and to make a trip into its structure.

Despite on the lack of interest to the topic of magazines I decided to photo several articles from the first Garage on the table issue.

It contains 44 pages. The first pages are photos of the new 2010 models. Here are some 1/43 miniatures by Spark and Premium

Classixx.

Revìew section column contains short notes about models. Here you can see Toyota Land Cruiser 100 made exclusevely for Adler 100 by Spark ( only 100 units were produced), a range of Ural heavy tracks by Scale workshop, Nissan Skyline HT 2000 FT- E- S by Aoshima etc.

In a special feature section is a review of the Steam Car " Inspiration" by Spark. The article tells about LSR steam records and describes "Inspiration" and its 1/43 replica but nothing about results of this car.

At least a special article about the models of the Soviet cars made by Politoys, Mercury, Dinky Toys and Gaffe.

The next issues of the Garage on the table increased their volumes until 60 pages and added new columns making historical reviews, discussing of partworks from the people who created them, exhibition reviews etc. Unfortunately in 2013 a magazine suddenly was closed.

Thank you for this extensive and well-illustrated post. It is an important topic (I hesitate to say "issue"!) to talk about and the future of replica cars depends on such items being available and a reliable source for pictures and information. If my electricity fails or WW111 takes place, my hardcopy magazines will still always be available to me !
