I found three of these die cast metal 1/43 1949 Fords this morning and bought them.  I am not familiar with this series, but for a popularly priced model, it interests me.  Here's the one I've opened.

And here are the others.

Nice model of the "short top" shoe box Ford.  Was also done by Ertl as I recall. These police cars were also done, according to my data base, as 1st Response, and Fleer.  There is a Fleer/White Rose four door 1949-50 Ford as well.  And a White Rose 1969 Plymouth Fury sedan as well.   These inexpensive White Rose diecasts were great donor cars for a 1942 Ford conversion, a 1941 four door conversion and using the front clip only, and a Yat Ming 1948 woody, a 1941 woody.

David, I have some of these in my collection and think they are nice for their price point. As John says, I can see where they would make good donor cars for other projects in the hands of someone like John who has the talent to do conversions.

I actually remember these Massachusetts Ford cruisers as a little kid. I’ve always thought the Massachusetts two tone blue paint scheme is attractive.

The Brooklin casting of the 1951 Fords is one of my favorites.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
