In a previous version, long, long ago, we did have a link to a map. Would be cool to do that again.
Chris S pointed out his local club. Here in the US we really only have the large toy shows that we 1/43 folks tend to go alone to. AND we have the 1/43 Show in the Chicago suburbs that member Jeff Lane produces - many of us do get together there every year. My one face-to-face event of the year with just a small subset of Forum43-ites!!

Done!
@bob-jackman But the map feature went away with the new format. We're back to just urging folks to update their profiles.

PTC, My wife is like yours as she likes the little cars and looks over each one when they arrive. She also likes the 1/1 scale cars we have. She builds miniature room boxes and dioramas which I also like. Nice to have someone who appreciates your hobby.
Indeed, Bob you are fortunate. This is a bit the same think when you watch a baseball or hockey games at the tv. Much better to have at least two tv 😉
Michel, Yes I am a very fortunate guy. Lori and I have been married for 56 years and life is good. Occasionally we do watch two different TVs.
It’s really cool that this can work out since there are people who will see with this and I hope that it can be seen and I hope that it can work out with the places that we see and I hope that it can continue to happen with this.
“Oh, so you collect Hot Wheels?”
When they ask me that, I show them my Johnny Lightning collection of about 10,000 cars, mint on their cards....never opened. Then they are impressed.
My younger brother has been collecting 1/43 for many years.
He has between 1400 and 1500 altogether.
His collection includes police cars from every state.

No, no one I know, family or friends, collects cars in any scale. However, my younger brothers think my collection in both 1/18 and 1/43 are very cool and are quite interested to take a look when I occasionally take a model out to examine close up.
I think even my nieces and nephews (at least to some degree) find the car models kinda neat (perhaps especially my 1/18ths with working features, etc) and will show some interest if, just for a few minutes, I show a model and explain some background to the car and it's times. The trick is to perhaps do this only now and then and for a fairly short time ...... you don't want to overplay your occasional hand.
I have a young niece who will go for her driver's license in the near future and she still would like to have a _real_ version of the 1/18 Maisto Nissan 350Z I gave her years ago because she thought it was "cool". She got a kick when I "placed" her on board her model as well as a couple of other of my diecast big boats from previous decades. She gave me a "look" when I mentioned the stupendous '58 Lincoln Continental would need to be registered in two different Zip codes and one would earn a Congressional Medal of Honor for simply parallel parking the planet-sized battleship !
Really cool writeup and pictures Mike. Your niece should be honored to have her image included in these fine models although that probably means more to you and I.
"Cool" or sorta "Creepie"!!!
But your photos are as usual stupendous!!!
Nope. Not at all. I tried mentioning it in conversation and even attempted to enthuse some of my colleagues. Nobody seems to be interested but me in my neighbourhood. Sad.
