I remember the sign at Cermak Plaza, although I have not been there in many years.
It is gone now as an "art-revamped" entrance sign and newer versions of the original signs are there.

Correct, it started out as buried Cadillacs, "death of the fin, social statement, etc., etc." Then it was dubbed "Ranch," then came all the vandalism & graffiti... now it's just "litter."
