Here are some quick phone-camera snaps of my 1958 Cadillac that I came across and that was originally part of my Lionel H.O. train layout that I got as a Christmas gift in about 1958 - 1959. (thanks Mom and Dad ... and Santa !)
When I finally get a more permanent apartment studio-type set-up, I will get some better images of this small car.
SO cool that you've kept it all this time. And thanks for sharing it here Mike!
I thought this was that vintage MB '58 Fleetwood until I saw the bottom ... then I realized it's a 1/87 Athearn - they produced several good looking plastic H.O. American cars back in the day.
I'm confused...and it doesn't take much. Michael did you show two different cars or the same car with a before and after paint job? Sorry, but I'm old.

No problem, John ! I am trying to figure out what day this actually is, lol !
Anyway, I did post an image of my purple Matchbox diecast small-scale 1958 two-tone Cadillac sedan, and also an image of a Lionel/Athearn red plastic 1958 Cadillac sedan I got when I was a kid. Amazingly, they both still exist.
@sizedoesmatter John.... Mike posted his "beat up" '58 Cadillac model (one of his few childhood toys he still owns but isn't mint or near mint like so many of his others ). I posted a pic of the same toy but in better condition. There are no "before/after" posts.
Does this clear things up?
