Here are some snaps of the Commer bottle float van in about 1:74 I still have that I got back in about 1961. It is a good-looking truck that was around in Great Britain around that time.
If you want lots of cold milk, this is the truck for you ! Or, if you are just thirsty, stock it with some beer or soda .......
P.S. Do not make a quick stop !
What a cool little model! Bet it was hard to keep the milk cold on a warm day!!
Hauling milk in Mississippi in a truck like that would be a problem because it would be sour by the end of the day. Love the model and your pictures.
Lol, that is a good observation, Tony ! You would have to race around at top speed to try and avoid delivering room temperature milk.
If deliveries went by the alphabet, you would probably want to be "Mike AeTorrice" rather than "Mike ZeTorrice".......
Bob, that doesn't sound like a recipe to get people to drink more milk, especially in a Mississippi summertime !
...cool little truck. I love milk, when I have less than 2 gallons in the house, I get nervous 😬 😬 Once again, the condition of your childhood toys is remarkable! 😯 😮
Nice looking little truck, and for a model that old, it is in excellent condition.

Lol, since I generally didn't later use firecrackers to re-enact a pile-up or disaster, a number of old toy vehicles actually survived relatively intact.
Not 1:64 but for any milk float fans Corgi did a nice 1:43 version of the same Commer 3/4 ton van, also as a milk float.

It is a good-looking Corgi model and perhaps this 1/43 version is not so commonly seen. You can be about 1/3 more thirsty with this one's capacity !
That is one hard-working horse ! It is certainly a Matchbox replica I haven't seen around a lot.
Quite a heavy load for a small truck. Sweet.
