We now live close to Luke Air Force Base and these guys fly over our home a lot (the sound of freedom).
I was an Air Force ROTC guy in college, hoping to become a pilot of one of these jets. Unfortuntatly, I'm built the wrong way and my head wouldn't clear the cockpit canopy so I was declared ineligible.
Now, every time one of these amazing planes passes overhead I vicariously put myself in the cockpit and imagine how much fun the young pilots are having while doing training missions - mostly in pairs.
They really pour the heat on. Can't follow the sound to find the plane, which is way ahead of the roar. It's quite a treat to see four of them flying in formation.
