Some great cars and the 1942 images with the gal service station attendants remind us that many guys were away in World War II.
Any clues as to make and model ? And, I don't mean 'female' and 'brunette'.... Thank-you.
I agree with John B. The hood ornament gives it away.
Thank you Ken Burns!
Much of that presentation was colorized (fairly accurately IMO ) but that's NOT why I'm thanking PBS documentary film making Ken Burns.
Prior to his award-winning and utterly fascinating Civil War documentary (30 years ago ) still photographs generated little interest when used in film; simply put, they were boring to look at. Burns changed all that when he used the camera to zoom in & out and pan still vintage photographs.
Overnight, the use of photographs in film work was forever changed. His method of adding "life" to photographs has since been copied worldwide.
Thank you Ken Burns.
