This rare Porsche was exhibited at the Cobble Beach Concours d’Elegance in Ontario in 2022.

1955 Porsche Spyder 1500
The Porsche 550 is a racing sports car produced by Porsche from 1953 until 1956. In that time only 90 Porsche 550s were produced, and they quickly established dominance in the 1.1- and 1.5- liter classes. The Porsche 550 is a mid-engined car with an air-cooled four-cylinder engine.

The Porsche 550 has a solid racing history; it won the Nurburgring Race in May 1953, the first race it entered.

Was this car the same type as the late James Dean's "Lil Bastard" ?

@michaeldetorrice

Here is James Dean's Porsche Spyder 1500 RS as shown earlier this year by Rich Sufficool.

That white '55 Ford wagon was seen behind Dean's Porsche in a pic allegedly taken as he gassed up for the last time...just before his crash.  It has a trailer attached.  I assume it was also his and driven by an associate.
