Mike Mueller, the author of this article in CAR COLLECTOR (April 1991) did an an outstanding job of pointing out why the '62 Olds Starfire was then, and still is today one of the best looking and well styled cars of the sixties.
Having owned a maroon version of this Starfire in the article, it is a car that has always had a place in my heart. Of all the cars I've owned over the years, it remains my personal sentimental favorite.

Good looking car, and I think maroon is the best color for it.

Just my opinion, but the 1962 Oldsmobile Starfire was the best looking full size Oldsmobile EVER.

I won't argue with your opinion. I agree!

You won't get an argument from me on the looks of the 62 Starfire. I have owned two hardtops and a 61 convertible and they were magnificent cars. The only thing that I disliked was the "slim jim" transmission with it's annoying shift pattern for stop and go driving.
The '62 Starfire is a beauty, no question about it.

@brush, mine was just like your 2-door hardtop photos and the same color. Gives me goose-bumps! I loved that car more than any I've ever owned.
