The Gilmore Car Museum has held the Lincoln Motor Car Festival Homecoming since 2014 - when the Lincoln Motor Car Partner Museum opened on their campus. Each show usually has an impressive assortment of Lincoln cars from the 20s to modern examples. In 2017, the show had a bit more of an impressive display as the show was also the 2017 National Lincoln Owners Association Meet. In attendance were a decent selection of Lincolns, many of which were cars I'd never seen before at previous shows or since. Unfortunately, that year my time to spend at the show was a bit limited as I had a family function to attend that late afternoon. With so many cars in attendance, I had to be a little pickier with what I photographed. I was unable to capture everything as I usually try to do at these shows.
I've been working on the photos from this show for the past 2-weeks, finally finishing them up this morning. The 1st set I'd like to share is of the Lincoln Model K from 1937 to 1940.
This new design debuted with the 1937 model year and continued through 1940 (although very few were built for 1940 model year, with most being built in 1939, production ended in January of 1940). This design series is my favorite of Lincoln's large V-12 cars. For me these cars depict complete class and luxury. Like the Pierce-Arrow from the same period, they embody everything a true luxury classic should be.
The 1937 model year saw the most cars produced, with just under 1000 built. Total production for the 4-year design cycle was just barely 1500 cars. I don't know how many still exist today, but I've been fortunate enough to see at least 15 different cars from the period. Each was a wonderful work of automotive art.

This car is always on display in the Lincoln Motor Car Museum - one of my favorite cars to see with each visit. (sorry that my photos aren't the best)
