Last week I was in Scottsdale AZ for the annual Barrett-Jackson auction. I didn't take many pictures this year but thought I'd share some of the ones I did take.
Beautiful Edsel Roundup, sold for $57K
1958 Chevrolet Biscayne in Police livery sold for $34K
1959 Impala convertible sold for $142K
1961 Oldsmobile 88 Custom
1965 Impala SS in Evening Orchid
1984 Mercury Marquis. Biggest bargain of the week, sold for $1,000
2017 Ford GT Prototype
Enjoy!
Pete, thanks for the pics, but I'll pass on the Sweet and Low.

The 65 SS and the 61 Olds are my favorites. While I favor original cars, the workmanship and creativity of Sweet and Low are superb. Thanks for sharing Pete.
Pete, thanks for the photos, I like the 65 Impala SS, but tell us which did you buy while at the auction. You only go to an auction to buy not just look?
Thanks Pete. Some of these prices are going through the roof.
The '65 and '59 Impalas are my favorites. The sale price of the '59 is shocking though, to say the least!
John, I’m a looker. B-J is too rich for me, although there are some good buys on 2005 to 2008 Bentleys, most in the $30k range. Maintenance and depreciation must be horrible on these cars! Barrett-Jackson changed their buyer commission this year. It’s now tiered, 13.5% on the first $100k, 12.0% on the next $150k, and 10.0% on anything over $250k. Sellers still pay 10.0%. So for example, a $500K sale will result in the buyer paying $556.5K and the seller receiving $450K. The winner is B-J who makes $106.5K plus other fees charged to the buyer and seller.
These prices make it tough for regular collectors. I love the '65 Impala and the Edsel wagon. I wish DM would have given us a 2 door version.
I'll take the Edsel wagon and 65 Chevy. The Olds leaves me nauseous.
Thanks for photos. My favorite is 1959 Chevrolet.

That's the problem with a custom car. Not everyone has the same taste as the builder. I will say that it was nicely done, although not my cup of tea. i have no idea what it sold for, but the seller probably lost money on the sale.
Thanks for the pictures. My younger brother lived in Phoenix and used to send my pictures from the Barret Jackson. He passed away in 2019. I and another brother used to go to the KC Mecum auctions. We just went to look and I took pictures of cars we liked,
