Jack

Hope things are going well with you.

I know you are still in the gentle recovery stage and I have no wish to cause you any over-exertion (or over-excitement), so feel free to ignore this message, but I just thought it might be worth drawing your attention to the attached.

certificate application

lf you meet the criteria - and I am fairly confident that you will -  all you need to do is download a clean copy at

https://pcec.gov.ca/mycert/hon/edu26/

Print it out, sign it and send it off (free of charge via Canada Post - Government Mail).

And wait.

I'm sure that all of us who remain in awe of your intellectual standing in the Forums would be delighted to see you receive this accolade.

Best wishes

G.

Just as well you changed your mind, Steve. Umami wouldn't really be an appropriate flavour for the "accolade" which is of course a carbonated fresh fruit drink straight from the orchard (cider being the fermented alcoholic version).

Well...ahem....after taking a break to regain my composure I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Mr. Ogg for extending this opportunity and for respectfully recalling my educational qualification.  Although it has been many years since I achieved my Grade 7 Certificate of Attendance, I do recall with pride the twelve years of sustained mental effort, including yearly summer tutoring, that I devoted myself to in order to attain that particular prestigious parchment.  My loss of composure today reminded me of the tears of my teachers as they gathered to wave goodbye to me at my graduation ceremony conclusion so long ago.

I would like to add that I am humbled by Graeme's overture in which he basically deems me to be an intellectual peer (below).  Given the obvious expertise displayed in his usage of the English language on this Forum for  a number of years now, I am proud to be considered worthy of such company.

@chris I am certain that is the correct spelling relative to the GMT zone Chris.
