Oh yeah, don’t forget “Ozark”, season 4 coming soon.
And then there’s “Hightown”…

Based upon the trailer we almost passed on "Maid". Glad we didn't. Last night we binged on five episodes starting from #1.
Great story/acting/casting. The little girl in the movie is a doll and, somehow, carries off an extremely important role. Was she acting or was it just patience and camera work to capture the right attitude/scene for her?

I`m so glad you took a look at this one Frank.......I had musings similar to what you`ve written about.......more than that I won`t comment on for the risk of creating a spoiler

GOTTA see this continuation!
Two more…Condor (season 2 - connected to the Robert Redford movie “3 Days of the Condor” character)…& “Succession” (season 3)…

Just finished "only murders in the building" last night......it was a delight along the lines of a good Agatha Christie yarn.......the cast, including Steve Martin and Martin Short, delivered polished performances and impeccable timing
Just found another - Dopesick - a story about OxyContin…stars Michael Keaton…we just watched episode 1 (of 8)…It’s on Hulu…
I just watched Ep01 and found it very well done .... the reviews I`ve read were less than complimentary but I`m glad I took a look.....on to Ep02 now which I suspect will end AFTER I fall asleep
*update: watched all 4 available episodes last night, into the early am*
I think we are now on episode 5 or 6 of Maid and so far I've had to cajole Cathy into watching another episode a few times. The movie is so well acted that she becomes a bit too emotional over the scenes.
But we are still hanging in there.
Even though much of this series is fictional I can't help believing that the whole shebang is from reality somewhere, sometime.

well said Frank.....stay the course 👍
@john-barry, there's a lot of truth to what they portray in the series. While the scenarios are contrived, the situations are all too familiar to more women than many think possible. I've been blessed to help several handfuls of abused women. It's not always physical but can quickly escalate from emotional abuse to physical. Frequently, the scars that are most profound are the emotional ones brought on by manipulation, gaslighting, belittling, and control. The idea that many women go back even though they know they're being manipulated is all too true. These women are not naive or dumb. They cling to the hope that someone they love can change. The worst offenders play on that hope.

@jkuvakas In your calling, you`ve no doubt seen more than any "civilian" would
@john-barry, I have always considered it an honor to be invited into people's lives at the best moment and their worst. It humbles you and makes you thankful for what you have when you realize, no matter how large your problems appear to be, you have it pretty good compared to some others. It takes wisdom far beyond anything I possess. There are times I stand in awe of what our great God can do.
