I have a small collection of antique cameras. I collected old photos at the same time. I have a number of daguerreotypes as well. Some of these have decent quality, considering that they go back to the 1850's. Some that I collected were done in a studio/posed/props environment and they are better than the ordinary 1850's subjects.
@jkuvakas I should have been more careful in my research, the photo I submitted is indeed a fake. I’m trying to atone her by posting a (hopefully) authentic pic of adult aAlfonso.

Yeah Pete, as an old gun safety advocate I taught that you NEVER, EVER point a gun at anyone. As a prop picture, I hope the revolver was empty but you got one of the two safety points correct - his finger was not on the trigger. Secondly, this is a Colt Single Action Army. Four-Clicks-To-Cock. The hammer must, first, be pulled fully rearward to be able to fire.
