Today I have two feature cars in the series. The first is a 1975 Ford Elite. The registration on the Elite expired in 2012. Ford sold over 123K Elites in the 1975 model year. The other car is obviously a Volkswagen Beetle. This one is a Super Beetle by the grills under the front bumper. It's hard to see but it looks like it has the round taillights first seen in 1973. The rear bumper would be raised a couple of inches in 1974 to meet rear bumper standards, so this one appears to be a 1973. The rear fender(s) have been replaced with flared fiberglass ones. I'm sure the V-Dub has been sitting in the driveway longer than the Elite.

Pete, I'm really enjoying this series although I find myself feeling sorry for the cars. The Ford Elite has memories for me as my in-laws had an identical twin when it was new. Thanks for the entertainment as I look forward to each additional submission.

Looks like the house is suffering from neglect as well as the overgrown yard. So it may be that the cars will set for a while longer.

For me the VW has greater appeal than the Elite. I would scrape the Elite and concentrate my efforts on the VW...provided rust has not totally consumed it. Pete, love the series, keep them coming.

When I see the this level of neglect I have to wonder what is going on. Has the property been abandoned? Are the occupants old and infirmed or maybe they just don't give a rats rump. Anyway it's sad.Looks like the house is suffering from neglect as well as the overgrown yard. So it may be that the cars will set for a while longer.

Sad to see, looks to be abandoned property, maybe not. But neglect going on all the way around. And yes, thanks Pete, I look forward to seeing what you come up with next.💯😊

I’m glad you all are enjoying seeing what around the neighborhood! I don’t know the story on this property, but I think the owner(s) must be elderly and unable to care for it. There is a daily driver parked on the street, a 1975 Maverick, which leads me to believe that both Fords were purchased around the same time.
