Ashtrays

Riiiight....I had forgotten that!

HA!   While in college, in the mid to late 1980's, we could smoke in class - the only stipulation was that we bring our own ashtrays.  😳 😳 😳 

OMG, that's true. I made one for Dad, Mom never smoked. It was red and green and had a small finger handle He actually used it.

Yep, done that. As Tony said, for dad, mom never smoked either.

Does a “bong” count?

I recall in JHS shop class one of the projects was building a butler ashtray. It looked something like this...

@100ford2003 OMG!    I so wish I had a picture of the 36" tall bong I made almost entirely out of high school science & woodshop pieces and parts!     I used a heavy chrome ashtray turned upside down for the base! 

Gee whiz.... I haven't thought of that thing in years!    🤪 😖 🤓 😵

@jkuvakas Well you know that old saying "The family that tokes together....umm like from a home made bong....is ya know....how does that go again?  Put on Iron Butterfly and pass the Cheesies willya!

Actually, no Jack I didn’t. A customer that lived on my mail route made one for me back in the ‘70s. I just thought it’d be fun to throw that out here and see where it landed.BTW, it “worked” pretty good from what I’ve been “told”. 😎
