Putting them up is fun...it becomes a problem when you have to take them down...just my opinion of course.

Years ago my late father loved putting up Christmas decorations but hated taking them down. My mother would start reminding him in January and they might come down in March. It became a ritual.
I've cut back significantly on the outdoor decorations but my wife still goes all out on the indoor decorations. She puts up 4 trees and a bunch of miscellaneous stuff.Years ago my late father loved putting up Christmas decorations but hated taking them down. @sizedoesmatter Sounds like our house John. My contribution is placing spot lights outside shining on the windows that have wreaths on them.
My daughter and I put up 10 trees of varying sizes from 3'-12', all decorated, plus all the Christmas paraphernalia that goes with it. Out side we still put up blow-ups, and over 3,000 lights on the house and trees.
I have a neighbor who puts Santa hats on his Halloween skeletons.
