@perrone1  Hard to find a 3:1 parking space where as a 1:3 vehicle could park just about anywhere. Just imagine a 3:1 '59 Caddy.

Parking space!! Hadn't thought of that Bruce!. Or worse yet - a 3:1 garage! OMG!  Wink

"I prefer the days when a hamburger was just a hamburger.  I don't care for the special sauce, lettuce, pickles, onions, or tomatoes on a sesame seed bun."

Sounds like you'd be a good fit for McD's "build your own, eat all you want"  buffet.    😉

@perrone1 @graeme-ogg I see the conundrum there Graeme. Personally, whenever I'm stumped on the scale question, I remind myself of this little axiom: The larger the number (of the scale) the smaller the size.

Thanks for this Tony; I plan to use it when I weigh myself for diet motivation. Eat

@brush

I agree with you 100% on this. Hate all the added junk on my burgers.

@perrone1  Oh, you guys mean like this 1950 Dodge Power Wagon @ 64:1

In other words, there this @ 64/1, the actual at 1/1, then a smaller version at 1/64.    Also, when anyone ever has difficulty with fractions, I explain it this way:   "Which would you prefer - you want me to take 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, or 1/16 of all the money in your pocket?"

Funny.... but suddenly fractions are no longer an issue.   🤔 😏

@graeme-ogg Oh and by the way, I am partially left-handed and had a distinctly russet tinge to my hair as a child. This may explain my ambivalence in this matter.

Wait a second here Graeme....a russet is a potato as we all know and you say you had a tinge of it in your hair as a child.  Two questions....did the russet grow over the years and if so are you saying you are the original Mr. Potato Head?  If so I volunteer to be your agent (just 15%) as you have royalties coming!

Ambivalence:  (noun)  A curtain utilized in 1960s ambulances.

@chris I'd like to see King Kong or any giant dinosaur stomp this truck flat!  I see it has a Japanese registry so maybe they're sick of this type of calamity happening in their cities.  Those documentary movies I saw of this years ago were scary!

No, no.... it was there for a show.  This "world famous"  64/1 1950 Dodge Power Wagon was built many years ago by a billionaire in Saudi Arabia.    One can actually live inside it.    With C/A, 4 bed & 3 baths it's quite comfortable, so they say.       ... and, AND - it actually DRIVES, albeit ever so slowly.    😎 😎

- and yes, I'll take on ANY T-Rex in that thing!  🤨 😎

@jack-dodds   I have not eaten in a fast food joint in 40 years, when I order in a decent restaurant I order a bacon cheeseburger, bacon & cheese only & hamburger of course on anything other than the regular hamburger roll & ketchup of course.

That must surely be a world record; I'd hire an agent and contact Guinness  immediately.     😉

I agree, my grandsons can't tell time on a standard clock, it has to be digital. It's crazy.😲

@geno And they get told it doesn't matter if you can read a traditional clock, do math in your head, or spell properly......there's digital, calculators and spell check.  Again I ask....who the hell is running our education system these days?  There will be a huge price to be paid for this in the future!

We are wasting money on schools, only need grades 1 - 4 and teach them how to use the computer, they have proven over the last 10 years that is all they need or want.
